Our English course focuses on reading, writing, speaking, and listening, moving from foundational literacy (phonics, grammar, parts of speech) in elementary to complex literary analysis (genres, themes, author’s purpose, classics like Shakespeare) and argumentative writing in middle/high school, emphasizing critical thinking, diverse texts, and developing communication skills through active participation and research

Class is structured around Oral Communication, Reading, Writing, and Media Literacy. It reinforces direct instruction in essential skills, including phonics, decoding, and comprehension. Mandated cursive instruction begins with traditional handwriting.

Resources are provided to help parents understand and support their children’s English language development.
