Guidance and Career Education

The guidance and career education program plays a central role in secondary school by providing students with the tools they need for success in school, college, in the workplace, and in their daily lives. In particular, We focuse on skill development that will help students better manage their time, resources, and dealings with other people to improve their opportunities for success both in school and in their future lives. Guidance and career education actively involve students in research, inquiry, problem-solving, and decision-making processes related to planning for postsecondary education, training, or work.The guidance and career education is designed to recognize the diverse abilities, strengths, and aspirations of all students, providing them with knowledge and skills that will be benefit them throughout their lives.

We enable students to:

_ Understand concepts related to lifelong learning, interpersonal relationships, and career planning;

_ Develop learning skills, social skills, a sense of social responsibility, and the ability to formulate and pursue educational and career goals;

_ Apply this learning to their lives and work in the school and the community.

We want our students to learn best by engaging them in a variety of ways of learning. We lend themselves to a wide range of approaches in which they require to research, think critically, work cooperatively, discuss relevan

t issues, and learn through practice in a variety of settings. We help students to became self-directed, lifelong learners.

When students are engaged in active and experiential learning strategies, they tend to retain knowledge for longer periods and develop meaningful skills. Active and experiential learning strategies also enable students to apply their knowledge and skills to real-life issues and situations.

Information and communication technology (ICT) provides a range of tools that can significantly extend and enrich our instructional strategies and support student's learning in guidance and career education.These tools include online assessment tools, career exploration programs, simulations, multimedia resources, databases, and computer-assisted learning modules. We use ICT tools and resources for instruction to meet diverse student needs.
